LSU is offering 96 mil 8 yrs
OU is a stepping stone job.
Unbelievable! That is ridiculous money. He should hop while the hopping is good. That way when he gets fired at LSU, he’ll be too rich to complain about rainy days when he wants to go to the beach.
Is it 100% guaranteed like Jimbo’s?
Wow! $12M a year.

This is a ridiculous use of tax payers’ money to a school that was just telling the state that it needs more $.
Too good to turn down. Even if he accepted and it didn’t work out with LSU, LR will still land on his feet as a rich man. Me thinketh, LSU is hoping Caleb Williams will follow.
Expect OU to counter the offer.
I should have majored in Football.
It’s not taxpayer money.
12M. That pressure and that fan base will expect to beat Bama and everyone instantly.
He gone.
Who des OU go after?
I wonder if bringing players along will be part of the public negotiations with the transfer rules? Or will that be on the low low as the kids say.
If it happens, LSU crapped their pants.
The buyout on this is probably $100M.
Now Jimbo and Saban won’t be top paid anymore.
Lincoln and Dabo have accomplished the most after Saban since Lincoln’s promotion to HC.
How do you figure that? Isn’t the head coach of a public university a public employee… If so, isn’t said employee paid through taxes received from state taxes?
Schools like LSU make a slight profit and don’t charge much if any in student service fees. They often charge students a reduced cost for football, basketball and baseball tickets to make up for demand and generate extra money. Public non-P5 schools are “investing” state resources and charge significant student service fees.
The state can be on the hook for bonds for capital projects.
The state is also one the hook for part of the salary and for operations…
Schools like LSU have a lot of nerve asking for more state funds for their aging facilities while simultaneously firing coaches they owe millions to AND throwing out $100 million contracts to the next coach…
