UH has had great defenses over Sampson’s years, but this is the best one I have seen. I actually feel sorry for some of the mid-level teams playing us - like Tx State, Penn, Rice, etc. It is going to be interesting to see how it works vs really good teams in the Big 12.

Do not ever call Rice mid-level. Or feel sorry for them.

It will change, but it’s not like we’ve had the WORST schedule in CBB - we’ve just beaten most teams like they’re the worst.

This. There are 362 teams. We’ve played one ranked lower than 300 (ULM).
We are pretty good.
Defense is going to miss Arcenaux, especially if our bigs hit foul trouble.
