I would like to see UT take Vandy’s place at the bottom of the SEC and go winless every year in every sport. That and have lightning destroy all of the buildings and stadiums. But, other than that I wish them well.

Before you send in the locusts and pestilence remember that some of us Cougars live in Austin. Yes, it’s tough being in a sports outback like the ATX, but we try to get back to Houston whenever possible.
I guess what I’m saying is, before you loose the locusts give us Austin Coogs a heads up so we can evacuate!

True…I should have limited my wishes to only the 40 Acres. And my daughter just moved there, so then there’s that !
My nephew is in a snit. He and his wife graduated from aTm, and two of his daughters are going there now with his oldest graduating in May. Now, his youngest says she wants to go to UT. I think he will give in.
When my daughter graduated from high school, I told her she could go to any college she wanted; however, if she chose UT, she would have to pay her own way. She chose UH. I thought she was going to aTm until my nephew took us on a tour of the campus. She said she was a city girl and didn’t want to go out there. Raise a child in the ways that are right and they will not depart from them when they are older.

A&M’s campus isn’t pretty at all. It seems like a military school which is its roots. It’s charm is just a country setting and they do have bars etc. A&M is only saved by its football team and cult culture, otherwise ole miss or Cincy etc and even us have better looking campuses. I would like us to develop more of that cult thing which is the glue of us against the world which is what aggies have. I know many will disagree. We need to grab transfers and freshmen and do a fish camp. We’re building dorms which is huge but we need some more around campus and keep building.
I find it odd that they always feature the tower so prominently considering it was the site of one of the deadliest and earliest mass shootings in the US. It would be like Columbine CO featuring the high school in a tourism ad.

We have a cub camp.
I keep preaching a little, that if UH doesn’t invest in it’s students and student life and keep expanding Athletic things, then it’s going to become UT. Relevant and ‘great’ as an institution to look at from afar, not as great when you get in.

Been to A&M campus one of the ugliest I ever seen. UT a little better not by much imo. Now Rice has a beautiful campus, TT prettiest campus I have ever seen architecture wise.

TAMU smells like doodoo. Like it smells as bad if not worse than Beaumont.
UT is just a maze.
Which is why is is so discouraging that so many proud notable alums almost talk their children intto not attending UH.
Texas A&M has a cult following because they build multi-generational legacies.
