This is cool, in more ways than one. It provides defense against virus and cools helmet.
Yet still no AC for the Visiting Locker Room when the Horns visit…
They have doctors on the sideline but now they’re going to have AC repairmen on the sideline.
What a waste of time. Just skip the preliminaries and go straight to full-blown space suits!!
I think these will be here to stay once the players get used to them.
Air conditioned helmet to fight the heat?
Once upon a time, UH played in a A/C stadium so not only the players were able to beat the heat, but also the fans. A majority of UH fans didn’t like the Dome, but I loved it.
Now that’s funny…lol!
Me too.
Me, three . . . . . and a bunch of others. Tailgating there was awesome. Good ol’ days . . . . .
Tailgating at the dome??
When I was in school they didn’t allow tailgating at the Dome.
That was one of the big drivers to bringing games to Robertson.
The Red Coats were anti-fun.
We were a part of a large group, entered on North Stadium Dr, parked on right side (don’t remember the area designation). Tall twins, two insurance agents and their wives (all recent grads), several others all met up. I owned a Dodge travel van, always had the doors open and TV playing. No cooking but we always carried in picnic type food. Prior to one of the games (don’t recall which one), I called to check about food with one of the group. He lived in a four bedroom apartment with lots of roommates. They allowed a “bookie” to utilize their apartment on Saturday mornings to do his work. The phone was answered and even though I did not recognize the voice, I was not surprised. Was told my friend was “in the shower” and asked my name for him to call me back. I am a “junior” but did not say so. Friend did not show for the game, so on Monday, when he arrived at work, I asked him what happened. Turns out the Popo busted the whole group and he was detained so never made the game. Now where “jr” part comes in. My dad, around 50ish at this time, and with a brother a member of HPD, somehow put two and two together. Told me the police had him staked out at his home and office. I’m guessing they thought I was calling to book a bet, and since i didn’t say “jr”, they began to check out my dad. His brother may, or may not, have had anything to do with the surveillance being removed. I had not thought about this event in many years.
Forgot all about this happening. Funny story.
Tailgating yes, but no cooking.
No cooking? Well hell, that’s not tailgating then
