the main draft guy on bleacher report has a made a list projecting draft breakout players
our guy sasser is on the list for the 2nd round
I didn’t think he fit the profile of an NBA player at all before this year, but after the start to the year I can see it a lot more. He seems quicker, more athletic, and more elusive.
I would still bet against it mainly because the bar is so incredibly high for a player Marcus’ size to make it, but it seems at least plausible to me now.
Will be interesting to see him against a team like Memphis.
If Marcus finishes with 15+ ppg, has a good FG%, above 40%, and his assist to turnover is good.
What else is there to prove by coming back next year?
He’s proving he can be a scoring PG, that can also defend.
The guy who could come back next year is Tramon Mark. Cause to make the NBA/G League, your shooting has to be excellent. And he still needs alot of work on his shot
Sasser’s body has changed. He is more cut. Used to be more roly poly. He’s an example of recruiting the DNA. Too many good players in the Sasser bloodline
Sasser can create his shot and that means something to pro scouts. He has also improved on defense.
He has started out shooting treys at an NBA level but it’s a very long season
