So confirmed that Ayatollah died. Which in terms of a bad person being dead that’s good. Creating a massive power vacuum in a Middle Eastern country, well I for one have never seen that go sideways for US interests.
Will be interesting to see where things are a month from now and a year from now. With syria, iraq and gaza essentially nullified and saudi aligned to at least be nuetral; the islamic threat may be reduced to throwing sticks and rocks for the foreseeable future.
The guy was 86 years old, and the regime likely had a succession plan or some element of a succession plan in place for years
His death means jack squat in the aggregate
We “obliterated” their nuclear facilities last year, and the regime built new uranium enriched facilities again in a single year?
This entire attack is bogus for nuclear facilities , and it’s clearly guided by Israel, which hey, Israel’s standing in the Middle East is our standing as well.
Strategically, we should have continued negotiating until khamenei dies naturally, but now he’s a martyr which means major retaliation
This doesn’t seem ideal
And the best chance at getting a more stable and less hostile Iranian leader would be to work in the shadows behind Israel. They have the intelligence and ground game in place to make that happen. Putting an American “stamp” on this basically guarantees another generation of anti-American zealots.
Killing one dude and a bunch of students isn’t liberating anyone, destroying military capability or resolving anything. Iraq was a relatively simple and much smaller “regime change” target, and we saw what was required there - sending missiles and drones won’t get it done, if that is the objective (maybe they’ll figure out the real goal sometime soon).
I have no affection for Iran nor its its regime but have we not learned anything about affecting regime change and specifically the message it sends to other nations with nuclear aspirations, the US can no longer be trusted.
Military attacks on a country’s nuclear infrastructure, especially where negotiation and inspections were still in play only weaken the international non-proliferation efforts, reduce faith in diplomatic pathways, and encourage states with nuclear ambitions to doubt USsecurity guarantees.
What we have done doesn’t just affect Iran, it shapes how potential future nuclear states see their own security choices and their trust in global enforcement mechanisms.
Are we just going to bomb every country into submission?
South Korea has expressed sentiments of having their own nuclear weapons program, along with Saudis, Turkey, Poland Tiawan, and Japan.
So we can celebrate the moment but we have to think this significantly weakens the US moral authority on arms control and nuclear proliferation.
We have killed over 40 of the dictatorship board of “directors” This included irgc vip members. The Mossad intel was so precise that the decision to attack was moved up. What our intel, special forces and Mossad have done is purely historical. It mirrors last Summer’s strikes when we obliterated their secret nuclear program and air force. The irgc, high powered vessels and drones capabilities is clearly the next stage. The Iranian armed forces have a choice to make. Turn against the irgc or keep fighting. We have seen some missiles making their way to Israel or US bases but they have been largely inefficient so far. Thank God.
These cockroaches will come out of hiding and they will be met with the same sheer force that exterminated the dictator’s figurehead. That p.o.s. successor used to be an irgc leader so expect a couple of things to happen. Major infighting within the dictatorship. cockroaches tends to go their own ways instead of forming a battalion. The DJT immunity offer is pure genius. Just by offering it he is creating a psychological chasm within that same irgc and the Iranian armed forces. We have to keep bombing targets to embolden his immunity offer. The longer the bombs land the worst it will be for the irgc to maintain their power grip.

Iran has a succession plan and a depth chart. The government isn’t in collapse right now, though they are no doubt in crisis. FWIW, I truly hope it does collapse, but this could be another drawn-out military action unless we just declare “Mission Accomplished” and go home soon. Remember, the protesters don’t have any guns. Zero.
This guy is waiting in the wings.
My dear compatriots,
Decisive moments lie before us.
The assistance that the President of the United States had promised to the brave people of Iran has now arrived. This is a humanitarian intervention, and its target is the Islamic Republic, its apparatus of repression, and its machinery of killing—not the country and great nation of Iran.
However, despite the arrival of this assistance, the final victory will still be achieved by us. It is we, the people of Iran, who will finish this task in this final battle. The time to return to the streets is approaching.
Now that the Islamic Republic is collapsing, my message to the country’s military, law enforcement, and security forces is clear:
You have sworn an oath to protect Iran and the Iranian nation, not the Islamic Republic and its leaders. Your duty is to defend the people, not to defend a regime that has taken our homeland hostage through repression and crime. Join the nation and help ensure a stable and secure transition. Otherwise, you will sink with Khamenei’s ship and his crumbling regime.
And my message to the President of the United States, President Trumpp, is this:
The honorable people of Iran, despite the brutal repression and killings carried out by this regime, stood bravely for nearly two months. I now ask you to exercise the utmost possible caution to preserve the lives of civilians and my compatriots. The people of Iran are your natural allies and the allies of the free world, and they will not forget your assistance during the most difficult period of Iran’s contemporary history.
And to you, my dear compatriots in Iran:
In these sensitive hours and days, more than ever we must remain focused on our ultimate goal: reclaiming Iran.
I ask you, for now, to remain in your homes and remain calm and safe. Stay alert and ready to return to the streets for the final action at the appropriate time, which I will communicate to you.
Follow my messages through social media and satellite media. If disruptions occur in the internet and satellite broadcasts, I will remain in contact with you via radio.
We are very close to final victory. I hope to be with you as soon as possible so that together we may reclaim Iran and rebuild it.
Long live Iran.
Reza Pahlavi
Ideally, this war will be like the 1999 Kosovo War and we can win it through air and sea power.
After enough bombing, the masses can overrun the government apparatus.
I dunno though.
One thing’s for sure. Religious fanatics tend to disdain surrender and prefer to fight to the death. And this regime is largely made up of such fanatics.
A momentous risk now is fracture; that no single faction wins out, and patchwork violence and celebration split Iran, leading to a collapse that destabilizes not only the nation, but the region.
The superior technology, intelligence and firepower of the United States and Israel enabled them to conjure a swift and simple solution to their enduring Iran problem. But it has yet to address the glaring and perhaps insurmountable complexities of Iran that have kept it a thorn in the United States’ side for half a century.
I can tell you this much.
The “succession” thing here is basically this:
Who will be the last Ayatollah….and as such, the next one to get blown up by the allies (USA, Israel, and Gulf States).
It’ll be interesting to see who volunteers to be the next “martyr.”
Why doesn’t the United States just stay out of it and let Israel deal with Iran
Because we have way more firepower and capability to bring out a desired outcome than Israel has.
Law, we give Israel almost $4 Billion a year via taxpayer money for military aid specifically
