I wouldn’t say the hearings are worthless, though they are used a lot more for political theater than any actual oversight or learning.

Worthlessness. The latest example is the nothingburger Epstein hearings.
And yes, I did come to remember the Blinken “hearing”. I do remember his testimony in front of Congress, but it slipped my mind because it happened so much later, after the withdrawal, just as he was leaving office. The initial conversation started because someone mentioned the Benghazi hearings. Also worthless.
They’re all dog and pony shows, whatever the subject matter, to score political points and score some made-for-TV moments or campaign commercials.

There are 2 bases there and you can bus back and forth… one has the airstrip and hangars and the other has the Navy Exchange, library, little bar and across the street acouple of restaurants/bars… one with a pool with a swim up bar.

The brass went through a purge last year as they tried to push out the undesirables and the non-adherents to the “warrior ethos/mission” and the seed of Christian nationalism/dominionism has always been a problem in certain institutions. Sleeper cells indeed.

I have a relative that was let go during that whole reduction workforce with Musk. He is applying for jobs in the government but you have to take a loyalty test. I think that’s what it’s called.
