CDC now reporting 3,294 confirmed cases. CDC now claiming they are working to establish a standard for reporting deaths. This,after the conventions have been in place for many decades, about listing measles as contributing factor.
CDC is also working with the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE) to develop a standardized case definition for deaths due to measles. This work is intended to promote consistent classification and reporting of measles deaths across jurisdictions.

Third person with measles has died in Pennsylvania.
Measles typically causes about one in five people who aren’t vaccinated to be hospitalized, according to the CDC. As many as one out of every 20 children with measles gets pneumonia, the most common cause of death from measles in young children. One of every 1,000 kids with measles will develop brain swelling. The virus kills one to three of every 1,000 children who become infected.
And now a 4th death from measles in an 18 year old.

I know that number may not sound like a lot to some but we had 1 person die from measles over the previous 20+ years before 2025.
A total of 1 people died, in the entire country, from Measles during the last 5 POTUS terms. Now 4 have died in a single state, in a single year due to purposeful, reckless incompetence.
It’s 7 over the last 2 years. Not great.
Some background history on the 1989-91 measles resurgence. Should be no surprise to anyone the cause and policy that enabled the resurgence.

“That places it in the worst 38% of nations, and about as good as Russia,” the report notes. The United States performed slightly better last year but still had the 86th highest per capita measles rate out of 184 nations.
We are currently in the worst bout of measles that the United States has seen in more than 30 years.
FactCheck conducted the assessment in response to repeated remarks by US Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on how well the United States is responding to measles outbreaks compared to other nations.
“We’re doing a better job than any country in the world at controlling the measles outbreak. This is a worldwide epidemic,” Kennedy said a few weeks ago.
“I don’t think that there’s any evidence that that is the case,” said Josh Michaud, PhD, MHS, an associate director of global and public health policy at KFF, in the FactCheck story. “There are countries that are sort of peer countries—you know, peer developed countries—which have very, very little, basically no outbreaks of measles.”
