What is sad today ia the state of Texas (Texas the state) college football. TCU was the only notable ābig timeā team.
Thatās never going to happen. #1 recruiting class year after year or not. Heās not a good coach.

My Cougars are a mess right now, I freely admit it. However, even if we were a consistent, big winner, Iād still revel in aggy and texas misery. Itās just so darn fun. I live among those arrogant, pompous, delusional aggy jerks. It makes college football fun to follow.

Reality is parity. Thereās whatās called diminishing economic gains at a certain point. You can win big in a 40 or 50 k stadium just as well as an 80 or 100k. Money wise itās the same. If we get 30 or 40 k we can compete bc they waste money like paying jumbo 9 mil a yr. Thereās a point where iitās marginal gains having way more fans or money in college football. This is why we can do it from the big 12 in our stadium and the fanbase will grow bc who we play.

Yeah letās not mess with our wonderful defensive strategist. Offense has played well enough and scored enough points to win every game.
Our defense has been a wreck especially at crunch time.

Belk has lost a ton of talent both to the NFL and injury. Iām not nearly as concerned about him as I am Dawson. Our biggest issue IMO is we lost our core talent at the most important position on the field - cornerback.
