If he predicted UCLA and USC only to the B1G and it ends up that way, I will be impressed. Otherwise a lot of people have been talking of various versions of a P2 for a long time now. Including several on this board.

MVver and The Dude (Chris) - all you need to know about both of them is:

  1. They post every conceivable scenario and delete the ones that don’t come true.
  2. When one of the “predictions” comes true, they point to it and say, “see, I was right”
  3. Many of their “predictions” from “sources” contradict each other until the wrong one is deleted.

How does some guy on Twitter have connections to university presidents and ADs and conference commissioners throughout the country to be able to know everything about what schools are doing with realignment? Answer: He doesn’t.

I can’t imagine that those two would apply and NOT Stanford and Cal.

If Stanford and Cal also applied
would we take all four, take zero, or tell two to take a hike? If it’s the latter, then which two?

Washington and Oregon are no brainers. In my layman’s opinion Stanford seems like a plus, Cal not so much. Maybe SDSt instead.

imho we should take Washington, Oregon, and 4 corners. Save the last 2 slots for Louisville and Georgia Tech.

If only the second tier ACC teams were in play. They are not. This will all shake out long before their GOR expire. Stanford and SDSt give us a California foothold. We would own the West. Are we really going to wait 12 years or whatever?

 It’s Wazzu and OSU and it’s not close

The OR and WA state legislators may get involved. Wasn’t there talk about linking the state schools together for any conference move? If it happens, that could be a spoiler for both UO and UW.

I’m inclined to agree. It’s just hard for me to imagine those two schools applying
and other PAC teams like Stanford and Cal NOT doing the same.

If so, then I agree. Take the academic powerhouses
and tell the two state non-flagships to take a hike.

Cal & Stanford think the B12 schools are beneath them I could see Cal dropping FB to lower level especially in the age of NIL and especially if student athletes become employees. Same for Stanford possibly. They meaning Cal & Stanford who initially opposed Adding the AZ schools which upset USC.

I agree. They may not want to go “full NIL.” Would this not drop Stanford down to more or less a Rice level of play?

That might leave Northwestern as the only remaining academic superpower that’s still trying to compete at the highest level in football (Vandy seems content to be a SEC doormat).

It all depends on just how much political clout Wazzou and the Beavers have in the state legislature. We saw how much Ok St had in regard to OU leaving them. We heard for years by some that Oklahoma and Ok St were bound by state politics, how did that work out?
