He has a well-rounded vision that will enhance not only our business operations but our entire department.”

Prior to his time at Western Michigan, Porter spent four years at Lamar University, rising from assistant athletic business manager and ticket manager to assistant athletics director for business and operations where he also oversaw facility maintenance and improvements while managing ticket operations.
He received his start in athletics at The University of Iowa, serving as a graduate assistant in the athletics ticket office and business office following an athletics administration internship and serving as a student manager for the Hawkeye Football program.

He will officially start his role May 21.
