NBA Draft Combine

Coming into a situation where you play for a well run and disciplined franchise is a good thing. Getting to practice everyday with a good system and professionals with great training habits is a very good thing.

Even though Philly was able to knock off Boston I look forward to Grimes getting out of there playing with three black holes on offense.

I have. John Stockton dribbles down, finds a way to pass to Karl Malone in the post. Malone then bullies his man into the paint for a short bucket or a soft mid range jumper

If someone would have told me Houston would have 2 Top 12 draft picks to pair with Sharp, Uzan and Tugler then I would have said we were going to win it all. I wish Uzan would have had a better Senior year. And I guess it goes to show that having seniors like Roberts and Cryer can outweigh bringing in even some of the most elite Freshman talent

I want Q out of Philly too, but Tyrese Maxey, is not a black hole on offense.

From what I have seen is the offense as a whole is a black hole but it certainly starts with Embiid. The ball movement is not good.

Lottery is on now

Are the players getting picked now or just order of teams picking?

Edit: order of picks…Wizards get first pick

In fairness to Uzan his role changed entirely when our freshman point guard came and immediately took charge…I was more disappointed in Cenac. Although he led the team in rebounding his offense was basically sitting outside and chunking up jumpers.
Not bad mouthing Cenac because he can eventually be a great player, but frankly I would have rather had a seasoned player who was more well rounded.
I do think Cenac has much more upside than Jarace Walker did, but he still has a ways to go to be an NBA player. Nevertheless, can’t blame him for taking the money…
I thought Sharp had a down year because I think opposing teams put pressure on him and refused to let him beat them. However Sharp showed great leadership and hustled his rear off for coach and team. He was much better when he teammed with LJ Cryer who also was a great shooter.

Kingston should come back to UH until he grows another inch-and-a-half.

It is always funny to me that people think that Mercy Miller is actually 6’4ā€.

Talk all over twitter is how Kingston wingspan is abnormally small he has the shortest wingspan in the combine…

There are multiple sub 6ft guards at the combine

There are talks this might hurt his stock (before anyone reads into this, he ain’t coming back … falling a few spots when you are lottery is not a reason to come back)

But it does make you question some things … I would have guessed him to have a longer wingspan… and this might add hindsight context as to why he wasn’t a better. Defender/rebounder despite being a super athlete

He averaged 4+ rebounds a game as a Point Guard.which is better than what our other starting guards Eman and Milos were doing so What are you even talking about

He should come back and work on his wingspan

Way to add - ton of asterisk

4 rebound per at 6’4 is below what we’ve done here… od recommend looking at Dejon’s rebounding numbers at ā€œPGā€

Also who ever said Sharp or Milos were good either … when I note someone isn’t the best rebounder … stating he is Better than the other bad rebounders doesn’t negate the point

And Sampson himself said our starting guard were not good rebounders and that would be chance next year … plead me ask Sampson ā€œwhat he is talking aboutā€

Dejon is not 6’4 and below.

Noone listed 6’4 or below for CKS here has ever averaged 4+ boards a game except Kingston

It’s his actual body that isn’t wide, not necessarily his arms. He doesn’t have long arms but they also aren’t wildly short. He’s just not broad at all, thus he has a shorter wingspan than you’d think by seeing him play. That’s why his standing reach is just as high as other guards his size. If anyone has watched him all season and decides not to draft him because his wingspan is 3 inches too short, that’s on them

Also, why aren’t we mentioning Cenac’s measurables being INSANE.
6’10.25 7’5 Wingspan 41.5ā€ vertical

Truly elite numbers. He’s going in the lottery
