I donât understand this. Other teams can offer him a two-way even though he was drafted by Toronto? Or did he turn down two-way offers from Toronto until they have him a guaranteed contract?

Raptors are a great fit for Shead right now. In my biased opinion, he walks into the facility and is the backup point guard at minimum. If thatâs not his role, I can still envision a clear path for him to log significant minutes.
Players in the 2nd rd have conversations with the teams interested in them on what the contract and role with the team will be. So maybe the Rockets wanted to draft him in the 2nd Rd but wanted him to sign a two way contract. Shead probably had his agent tell teams he wasnât signing a two way.

I think starting out, heâll be 3rd string, Quickly, Davion Mitchell and then Shead will be PG depth, but so happy he got the guaranteed contract.
