I’ve watched the NBA since the late 1960s, and I would put Larry Bird in my top 10 NBA players of all time. He was incredible and made everyone around him better. He also demanded the ball at crunch time. Not every “great” player is like that.

I was only ten when i got to go the Rockets vs Celtics playoff game. Even at that young age i understood i was watching a superstar take over a game and leave no doubt who would win.

I hated the Celtics and Larry fricken Bird when he played. I was a Sixers and Dr J fan.
