I’ve seen a couple of projected brackets and the Coogs made both of them. Both of them have us going to an Austin regional as the 3rd seed
Well this is certainly an interesting bracket:
Coogs play Friday at 1pm against the Aggies.
This is a very winnable region.
Aggies went 6-20 and 21-23 overall during the season. Coogs also beat them during the season in their one game against each other.
Beat SHSU twice during the season to include that 17-1 shellacking in the last outing.
UT-Austin will be tough. Lost to them 5-0 in Austin during the season, but they were 3rd in the Big12.
We’ve got this!!! Beat the #whorns #sheepfarmers
I like how the regional is actually all regional, lol. All the schools within a few hours of each other. Good for fans and families. I also love that we get to beat A&M and UT.
Aggies record-- 28-25, conf -6-18.
I had noticed I was wrong on that one. Went to a site that didn’t have accurate records and not exactly sure what they were posting.
I’m trying to make Coogs look better when they beat them!
Under third-year Head Coach Kristin Vesely, the Cougars enter the Regional with at 37-17 record and will face No. 3 Texas A&M at 1 p.m., Friday on ESPN3. Houston’s 37 wins are the most regular season wins for the Cougars since 2013.

Houston joins the Regional with host and No. 10 national seed Texas, as well as No. 4 Sam Houston State. This season, the Cougars have defeated the Aggies and the Bearkats.

The 2019 NCAA postseason berth is Houston’s ninth in program history. Last season, the Cougars competed in the Baton Rouge, the program’s first regional showing since 2014.
Says a lot when you have 4 schools so close to ea other all in same region. Don’t think A&M should have made it, down year for them but playing in SEC goes long way. Actually helps Coogs bec UH is the #2 seed in Region. I expected Coogs being a #3seed and playing a #2seed in top 25. So it works to their advantage. For me personally I never like seeing SHSU and UH in same region but proud of BearKats softball program as they were down for a while and new Coach has made drastic improvements w program.

Barely any mention of the Coogs other than they beat SHSU and A&M already. Not really surprising coming from ESPN.
