I think we need to look at this as a strategic defense issue. Medicines, computer chips and other critical supplies, we need to be making them here and ensure we have the knowledge and capability to do so when needed.

we do make most of this stuff here, its the volume and cost that drives the imports
I have no problem with the imports. I just want us to have the knowledge and the experience so if we have to ramp up production for shortages, war, pandemic, we can.
