Many of us did too. The Texans with three draft choices in the 7th round and they could not pick up Nelson?
Texans prefer players from the SEC and B10.
So they preferred:

EDGE Solomon Byrd, USC (7th Round, No. 238 overall)
Byrd has decent pass rushing moves and play strength, but he’s not very explosive or a physical standout.
The best part about him is the overall production. He accumulated 20 sacks in his collegiate career between Wyoming and USC. But he was also a six-year college player who lasted until the seventh round.
It would be surprising if he made a serious impact, but it’s an OK pick in the seventh round.
Grade: C-
Nelson played accross the street. Is a Houston area product…Just saying.
