The NFL is in jeopardy of opening the floodgates if they let any entity use a team’s intellectual property. It is not about the popularity of Rice. It is about setting a precedent that can’t be reversed. Didn’t UH come to some agreement with the NFL and Titans to slightly alter the Luv ya Blue unis to avoid a messy lawsuit?

Last I heard, we had just told the NFL to shove it. We haven’t worn them again so far, though, and we don’t have any Columbia Blue merch available as far as I know. So who knows.

The navy color is saving them but the columbia blue and red on a football uni screams Houston Oilers™ Est. 1960. Helmet stripes alone is straight lifting from the derrick design
