Train with the best, by the best, in the best facilities, to be the best. #HTownTakeover #ConstructionEqualsCommitment pic.twitter.com/9z2WKB9zVk

The architect who put those hanging lights in the building obviously knows nothing about punts; they are going to be a problem, unless that gets changed!
Is their a football only weight room or did it get dropped for the extra side field???
I don’t understand the presence of dangling lights inside a football facility where the ball will be tossed, thrown, kicked and punted in all directions?!
Anyone notice the expanded stadium
What are punts? We get nothing but first downs!!!
That is true - but we practice punts!
Seriously guys… who cares, coach doesn’t even call them by name, it is the puntah or the kicker, they can go outside, or the roof is higher than this architectural video makes it look and or the lighting is not final, as this is probably just a rough concept video.
I don’t understand the idea of having a separate football ops building. I realize we don’t have the money right now, but wouldn’t the locker room be with the practice building? Opinions?
If roof and walls are separate as indicated, no a.c…
Charge it to winning.
Doubt this is the final rendering. Downtown view would be gone for the club, press, and 100 level seating. There is no AC vents, and there are hanging lights. Only way you don’t loose the downtown view with this location is if you dig the practice facility down.
There’s glass connecting the two, it’s just hard to see.
Tweets from Dickey after the Lamar Game. Sounds like the IPF will block some of the view from some of the seats. They aren’t sure how much as of yet:

You’re reading too much into preliminary renderings. Just go back and look at the first ones we got of TDECU vs. the final product. Night and day.

UH to begin construction of indoor football facility Friday
“We have to build a football-only operations building,” Herman said on his weekly radio show on KPRC 950 AM. "In today’s day and age, you can’t share a building with 400 student-athletes and administrators. We have to give our guys their own building, weight room, locker room and dining hall just to keep up with the Joneses. We are far behind in that area.
“I get it, facilities cost money, and money doesn’t grow on trees. But if we want to continue this road that we are on, championship seasons, 9-, 10-, 11-win seasons year after year after year, you have to have good players. And in order to recruit good players you’ve got to have great facilities because guys want to know where they are going to spend the majority of their time and that they are going to be treated in a first-class way.”
