I’d consider that overly respectful of the system that creates this ranking. I never thought we were a top 20 team. But keeping us in the top 30 after losing to wvu at home is borderline altruistic.
Maybe I’m wrong but I think that it’s respect for the B12.

I had a feeling we’d be a few votes short since UCF was 4-4. The main shockers were we came back and won trailing at halftime and it was the first time UCF lost a home football game wearing SpaceU uniforms.
We deserve to be ranked. We are 8-2 with the most road wins in the nation. We also have two wins over teams receiving votes.
Iowa, Tennessee, Missouri, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh, and James Madison are all ahead of us with worse records and a combined zero wins over teams receiving votes.

Technically JMU has a better record at 8-1 but their best win is against Old Dominion who’s 6-3 playing out of the SBC, so your point still stands. Its bull sh*t.

Look at the combined records of teams we have beaten…we have one good win …we do not deserve to be ranked a week after losing to one of the worst teams in the league at home …enjoy the season but let’s not think we are anything more than a solid team …we are not top 25

When the standard is James Madison, we absolutely deserve to be ranked. They have one win against a team with that isn’t sub .500. And it’s ODU lmao

Right so we don’t deserve to be ranked with a 5-0 road record and multiple wins against 6-3 P4 competition but you think JMU deserves to be with their only win against a winning team coming against a 6-3 ODU team? Stop being self deprecating. Hell our win against Rice would literally be JMUs 2nd best win. Wrap your head around that.

By that metric, then every loss that any SEC team gets is the equivalent of every single Big 12 win
Therefore, only SEC/B1G teams should be ranked right!
I think that is a reasonable, achievable goal for UH.

Do we really have the best road record in the country?
We have better wins. We’ve played a tougher schedule. Our overall record is close enough that we deserve to be ranked ahead and them and objective resume rankings like strength of record back that up.
