I’ll apologize to Ehog. I have had a long two weeks lately. Thank you for clarifying Imago13.
dont mind me, im just here for the lolz
My comments about 1983 came from The NYTimes. Therein it clearly states that scholarship, limits down to 13 had been proposed, but not enacted.
Instead Academic rules were tightened.
The article goes on to say that scholarships were reduced to 13…in 1993-94.
Guy Lewis had 14 on his 1983 team. Simply Google a team photo and count the players.
Sampson also carries 14. And right now he appears to be at 12.
Is there a difference between “scholarship” team members and “walk on” team members, or do they all count against the limits ? ? ? ? ?
15 players in the 82-83 media guide
Larry Micheaux
Clyde Drexler
Michael Young
Akeem Oljawon
Alvin Franklin
Reid Gettys
Benny Anders
Bryan Williams
Derick Giles
Eric Dickens
Renaldo Thomas
David Rose
Gary Orsak
Dan Bunce
Dave Bunce
No Brian Williams in team photo.
They all count against roster limits but a walk on wouldn’t count toward the scholarship limit

Good movie
Well, your post had my app in the upper right indicating it was to me. No biggie, but sometimes replies leave me wondering.
Dedan Thomas little brother, Tyus, has committed to the Coogs & will redshirt this year.
Younger and smaller. Tyus is 5’10", 180 lbs.
Welcome to UH.
Package deal to get sedan or could he play for us down the road?
So there WAS a package deal if UH signed Dedan Thomas Jr. We thought it was Ced Lath, but in reality, it was Dedan’s younger brother Tyus.
