Tonight kicks off Week 3 of the NFL season; no Coogs playing tonight as the Jets visit the Browns so here’s this weekend’s schedule:

  • Elandon Roberts and Chad O’Shea (Patriots) at Detroit - 7:20pm on NBC

Note: I noticed Kyle Allen was released from the Panthers Practice Squad. Patriots had him in last week to work him out.

They also had Greg Ward in for a workout.

Houston misses out on the Denver-Batimore game since it’s on at the same time as the Texans-Giants game.

I live out in Sacramento, same thing… Raiders and 49ers rule this TV-land.

Patriots released Kenneth Farrow from the practice squad

Is Ward no longer on Eagles practice squad?

No, they released him after Week 1 in order to sign Braxton Miller.

All our Coogs are done this week, how’d they do:

  • Thomas McGaughey (Giants W 27-22 over Texans) - McGaughey’s Special Teams unit continued to be solid this year. Kicking was on point with 2 FG and 3 XP, team had 4 punts for 49.5 yards, 3 kick returns for 45 yards and 2 punt returns for 6 yards.
  • Matt Adams (Colts L 20-16 to Eagles) - Adams played on 19 special teams snaps in this game and made 2 tackles.
  • Brandon Wilson (Bengals L 31-21 to Panthers) - Wilson was in on 16 special teams snaps, but did not record a stat
  • William Jackson III (Bengals L 31-21 to Panthers) - William Jackson missed only one defensive snap, and made 1 tackle which was a tackle for loss. The Panthers tried to avoid Jackson as much as possible.
  • DJ Hayden (Jaguars L 9-6 to Titans) - Hayden ended up missing the game due to a toe injury
  • Tyus Bowser (Ravens W 27-14 over Broncos - Bowser made 1 tackle, but missed a key block that led to a blocked punt early.
  • Case Keenum (Broncos L 27-14 to Ravens) - 22/34 192 yards 0 TD 1 INT, sacked 3 times for 19 yards, 67.3 QB rating. Ravens also racked up 9 QB hits on Keenum.
  • Wade Phillips (Rams W 35-23 over Chargers) - Phillips defense gave up 356 yards, forced 2 fumbles, and sacked Rivers twice.
  • Chad O’Shea (Patriots L 26-10 to Lions) - O’Shea’s Receivers were only targeted 7 times while making 6 catches for 45 yards and a TD.
  • Elandon Roberts (Patriots L 26-10 to Lions) - Roberts made 7 tackles and 2 tackles for loss as he played a large amount of snaps on defense

“Just made a mistake. Just didn’t work out,” Bowser said. “It’s good to know that my teammates have my back just when everything’s going wrong. I’ve just got to bounce back.”
