With Taylor out and Hood in for this season, the Dolphins will look to Akeem Spence and Davon Godchaux to continue to carry the interior of the defensive line, with Hood serving as the primary rotational option. Miami could also look to use defensive end Cameron Malveaux at defensive tackle, something that has happened a few times this year already.

Elandon Roberts was at Wednesday’s walkthrough. The linebacker left Monday’s game with a groin injury. The same went for Dont’a Hightower (knee) and Marcus Cannon (concussion). Both players were inactive on Monday. Cannon has missed the past two games due to his head injury. This was the first game that Hightower’s missed this season.

Monday night game doesn’t feature any Coogs, so here’s the rundown of the week.

  • Case Keenum (Broncos L 19-17 to Houston): 26/42 for 290 yards and 1 TD. He was sacked twice and had a Passer rating of 90.4. Stupid coaches got conservative at the end, otherwise, Case would have led the team to a win.
  • D’Juan Hines (Browns L 37-21 to Chiefs): Hines was in on 16 special teams snaps, but didn’t record a stat
  • Cam Malveaux (Dolphins L 13-6 to Jets): Cam was in on 28 defensive snaps and 12 special teams snaps, but didn’t record a stat.
  • Tyus Bowser (Ravens L 23-16 to Steelers: Bowser was in on 16 defensive snaps and 18 special teams snaps, but didn’t record a stat.
  • Elandon Roberts (Patriots W 31-17 over Packers): Roberts was banged up, but did see action on 19 defensive snaps and 4 special teams snaps. He was credited with a QB hurry.

Coaches

  • Wade Phillips (Rams L 45-35 to Saints): Rams defense gave up 487 yards, 31 first downs and 45 points to the Saints. Rams garnered 0 sacks and recovered 1 fumble.
  • Chad O’Shea (Patriots W 31-17 over Packers): Patriots receivers were 1/1 passing for 37 yards. They also rushed 13 times for 89 yards and a TD. In their main job, they caught 12 passes on 22 targets for 208 yards and 1 TD
