No ABC or ESPN on YouTube TV!

ESPN announced a deal with draftkings today. Can’t make it up. I don’t think Disney even cares what people think of them anymore.

When disney did the same thing to DirectTV, DirectTV sent me a check for $25

I was looking at direct tv, it comes with espn+?

Yes, but what they offer is called ESPN Unlimited. think it has some more stuff, but it definitely includes all of what was included under ESPN+ before.

Is it contracted? Just curious. About to cancel you tube and espn+ if direct tv has this already for about the same coast and streaming.

I don’t know the answer to that, but I figure I can just add ESPN+ back if something goes sideways with DTVStream.

I can’t believe no one has mentioned the best option in my opinion. Buy a day pass from Sling. It’s like $5. Since my only TV subscription is ESPN Unlimited, I had to get the Sling Day Pass to watch the Oklahoma State game.

I’m going to have to upgrade my ESPN Unlimited to include the Fox option to watch the UCF game tomorrow.

We had DirecTV Stream and it was monthly. If your smart TV is Roku, you can get the DirecTV app. If it’s another brand, check to make sure. I have an LG webOS and the DirecTV Stream app is only available with certain models.

DirecTV Stream customers with an eligible package, like the Signature Package, typically get ESPN Unlimited at no extra cost.

Hulu + Live TV is also monthly and gives you ESPN Unlimited.

Downside of Hulu + Live Stream is you can’t go back and watch a previous play during ads. You have to wait until their ads are over.

Also, it starts slow. Last night, i was more than 5 plays behind the message board. It did let me fast foward, but had to wait for the ads to end so I did it at halftime.

See, that’s messed up. I’m not paying yet.

Google vs Disney. They make and buy the rules. The losers are the consumers, as always. .

Disney argues that YouTube, owned by Google’s parent company Alphabet, is “refusing to pay fair rates for our channels.

YouTube argues that these price hikes will be passed down to its users through higher subscription fees.

Hulu + Live costs more than YouTube TV did. I got a 3 month promotion for $64.99 and then it goes to $89.99. I have a feeling the price of YouTube will also go up once all is said and done.

They have a Hulu + Live TV without ads, but I later read that only on-demand content is “without ads” and it’s $10/month more. Sounds like you’re still stuck in the ad lock during live games.

It’s gonna cost more than cable when all is said and done. It was inevitable.

Greed encompasses all.

Cord-cutting was supposed to be cheaper than cable or satellite. However, those alleged savings are quickly disappearing. You get sports and movie bundles online, and for all intents and purposes, you’re paying the same as you would for DirectTv or xfinity.

On YouTube TV, I did a six month pause so I still have an account. If they can’t work a deal by then or their price gets higher, I’ll just cancel my account and owe nothing.

Of course there will be ads during live TV. It’s just like watching live TV over an antenna or regular cable. They can’t skip the ads. It’s the same broadcast.

Yep. We were up to about $230/month on DirecTV after being customers for 15 years and continually cutting down our package. Wife added up our streaming services over the weekend and we are up to $200/month. That is after cancelling a few.

Other thing that grinds my gears lately is no matter the movie we could almost always stream it free on one of our apps. I’d say 75% of the movies I’ve searched lately I’d need to pay for.
