Our defensive secondary is our Achilles heel…over the last year we had 3 defensive backs hit that damned transfer portal…in addition to graduation our secondary was hit really hard…we had one All Big 12 cornerback (Charles Woods), and naturally he was injured in the Pitt game and still isnt back yet. In the Texas game on the first Longwhore drive our pass rush devoured their QB, but after that our DBs couldnt cover long enough for our pass rush to get off blocks…4 quick scores later we are screwed and effectively had to abandon the running game…add in a ridiculous number of dropped passes and at least one bad decision by our QB and you have a spanking. So maybe our secondary gets better as the season rolls on, but until it does, we will get scorched alot.
