Not a coincidence

We are facing Pac 12 opponents OOC in FB and Bball.

I believe it gives the conference an early look at competition and tv ratings. Additionally, it provide access to the Houston recruiting market.

This!

Time to brace for 10:30 pm Saturday starts?

We played UCLA in football during the Keenum years and Arizona in basketball during the Aubrey Coleman years. I think it is just part of OOC scheduling.

Pez did come from the Pac12 and would have plenty of contacts out west.

it is NOT just part of OOC scheduling…Other P5s wont play us and we line up games with Washington State, Utah, Arizona and Colorado? It is NOT a coincidence…its the future…

I’d love to have trips to CA,OR and WA every year!

I want to believe that UH will join a P5 or P4 one day and that it is more than just the AD having PAC connections. I will hold off on the champagne bottles for now though…

Maybe if they are playing on the west coast; but even then I doubt it. If they start at 7:00pm in California, it will only be 9:00pm here.

Colorado already has a 9:30 CT game scheduled at Arizona. They haven’t released times for their games @USC, @Wash or @Cal yet. They kicked off 9:30 CT at UCLA and 9:45 CT at Washington St in 2017.

So 10:30 might have been an exaggeration but we could easily expect two 9:30 starts every year except when we are projected to compete for a conference title.

These times are right in my wheelhouse.

If it means playing in a power conference I’ll embrace the late kickoff.
