The idea that a touchdown can be negated by something like this is crazy. A hold, a block in the back, etc., that makes sense because you don’t know if the score would have occurred without the penalized conduct.
But this is stupid. Just give the kid a personal foul and assess it on the kickoff. Or if you want to make it a little stronger, add 15 yards to the end of the kickoff.
BTW, this was really weak for taunting.
