Off The Fritz Bandwagon

Row 12

ā€œFritz is under performing, and at at times, appears way in over his headā€¦ā€ Coming back to this old thread. All along, Fritz was right on track to turn around a 4-8 team to a 9-3 winning team making it to the Texas Bowl against an LSU SEC opponent.

Yeah, most of the haters have refused to eat ANY Crow…

Fritz was building a program. Imagine Fritz recruiting a 5 star Qb and former 5 star QB who will be playing on the same team next year after being in and out of the top 25 ranking and making a bowl in less than 2 years.

I said give him a second year before judging.

Verdict is we hired a good coach IMO.

Show some receipts, or maybe I find them in this thread

Lol throwback thread for sure. I stand by my defense of Fritz. Absolute home run hire.

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand friggin’ times……EVERY new coach is entitled to ONE ā€œfreebieā€ sucky first season.

It’s what happens in seasons two and beyond that really matters.

UH has a good record and is in a bowl some people actually might watch or attend. IMHO, Fritz is exactly where he’s supposed to be doing exactly what he is supposed to be doing. I can’t believe people are whining so much after Holgorsen almost destroyed the program by himself.

This is funny because Fritz beat Baylor and Arizona. lol

…and didn’t play Utah this year, but beat them last year.

This one should be in The Dumbgeon Hall of Fame :grinning:

Heck Sampson could have had a great year if our key players had not left when he got here. That was dumb on their part.

Love the energy Dude… the pessimists are always gonna be like that but EVERYBODY knows there’s no denying that Fritz is legit!

Well… he told them to go if they wanted to leave because he didn’t think they’d be a tourney team that season and wanted them to play somewhere they had a chance at playing in the tourney iirc…

But I knew we’d be a legit program after watching what CKS did with low recruited players and walk-ons that first season.

One guy said he was going to the games but bringing a book to read.

I’ll do my best…

Cat 1:

The overwhelming majority of folks on this MB are great fans. Passionate, insightful, and committed to UH Football.

Cat 2:

A small minority are pessimistic, battered, contrarian, argumentative, and spend more time trolling and creating drama than talking about football.

Cat 3:

Those who are ignorant. They are either naive, or just haven’t bothered to look into the facts before posting. I don’t fault them, or dislike them. On occasion, I am one of them.

Cat 2 is the problem. Not because they are bad people, but because they are prideful and are unwilling to accept when they are wrong.

Cat 1 & 3 make for healthy dialogue. I like to think I am mostly Cat 1, but I find myself in Cat 3, on occasion.

Hope this helps answer your question.

The title of the thread is… ā€œoff the Fritz Bandwagonā€. After this season, I’d say there’s far more people getting on that bandwagon than off of it.

I have been a Coog fan (all sports) for decades, but the one question never resolved for me was… What does an auburn fan think of each post and poster on CoogFans?

Thanks so much for helping me understand.

I don’t think they were ever going to fit in to Sampson’s style and he knew thus he wasn’t that upset. But they were excellent players,

From what I heard House never even met with CKS. Is what it is but in hindsight he really could’ve benefited from Sampsons tutelage.
