I think heâs talking about their On3 portal ranking. Weigman was rated at 98 and a five star out of high school. His transfer ranking, listed in the chart above, is 91.

But KFD has a point. I used to be pretty wrapped up in rankings, and sure I would be thrilled to sign 20 four and five star guys every year. But I now consider the ratings to be a little . . . overrated. The really top recruits generally turn out to be good players, but after them itâs something of a crap shoot.

Hereâs the thing.
I agree that Tech cleaned up in the portal. Probably no other school did better in that regard.
But by bringing in one of the highest rated QB transfer recruits, we certainly made good use of the transfer portal as well.

The difference between this yearâs o line and the oneâs in recent history is competition. The cream will rise to the top and our offense will be better for it.
