Cornhole, Lumberjack games, esports, it’s getting ridiculous. Think about it: watching cable TV to watch other dudes play video games. 
Let’s not forget poker on tv its crazy all the goofy stuff they broadcast just because they need content.

its is sad they make such a small percent but it is a business and they are the drivers of the business, if the wnba becomes profitable, they can get more. if i were wnba exes i’m meet in each locker room and say to be quiet or they’ll be cutting salaries if they keep losing money.
Yea, right now its a fringe sport and if the players keep acting like this, they’ll just alienate the fan base and kill the league.

Right from the start this article is flawed. The author uses Clark as an example. Prior to Clark nobody was watching. And this author is an Harvard Professor? Oh girl…notice I did not use Oh Boy.
How could the WNBA complain about being underpaid?
The WNBA players complain? They can complain all they want. Ratings drive pro sports salaries be male or female. It is valid for evert sport. The WNBA want more money? Prove that viewership has reached numbers in relationship with “deserving Dollars”
WNBA has the same amount of viewership as the NBA? Then it should be equal. That is not the case and far from it. The WNBA can complain all they want. They have not earn it. Nothing in life is given for free. WNBA players want more money? Prove it with Nielsen ratings data and pay accordingly like every pro league. Otherwise these demands should be turned down.
I love women sports. My girls play sports. Madison avenue/Advertising avenue sets the bar. This has nothing to do with male execs trying to put women down. Pro sports by definition is a business. The Spring football leagues fail? It is because no one watches.
This is 100% absurd.

Not sure what that has to do with the WNBA player salaries.
Here’s the thing this argument is missing, the CBA of the WNBA calls for revenue sharing not profit sharing. This is the same as NFL, MLB, & NHL.
The other things is there are plenty of companies, especially in the startup space, that makes no profit yet pay their talent (and CEOs) lots of money, though often through stock options. Companies like Tesla, Amazon, Google, etc. but really any startup of any size is going to pay their talent even when the company isn’t profitable, or they’d have no talent or employees.
