I honestly think we are going to win this game. In addition, I don’t think that Jalen is going to shred our defense either. This is just my opinion but here we go…
The strength of our team is back and from what we have heard it has improved. This is our offense. We have our wide receivers and our quarterback back, all healthy. Our offensive line has been retooled, strengthened, and added some depth. Our running back is back and we’ve added a little depth to the position. Brooker was good but I believe we’ve upgraded at the tight end position. The offensive scheme should be better, balanced, and more fundamentally sound.
In general, there is no where our defense could go but up. Yes we lost Ed and some other players, but we are getting a lot of players back healthy, we have added a lot of players to the weakest part of the defense which is our secondary, and we should have without a doubt an improved defense of staff and scheme.
The reason why I don’t think Jalen will shred us isn’t because of him, but because of their offensive line. They have only one returning player and the rest are new and young. Also they don’t have depth. So I think this will be their achilles heal and Jalen will have more pressure on him than he ever did at Alabama.
Ultimately we will win and this will be the factor that they will mention as why OU lost, and not why we win.

Garrett Davis knocked OU out of that game when he leveled their running back. We were the more physical team that day. We will need to be the more physical team in Norman if we want to win.

Our defense was just annihilated by injuries last year. Anderson was an original starter and maybe a couple of LBs were left by the end. That alone would have made it hard to win, but having to start third string Dlinemen as well made it a literal impossibility. It was painful to watch.

The game changer vs OU was the Matt Adams hit on the qb. They were on their 2nd possession and were having their way vs our defense to that point. Then the game changed and we imposed our will on both sides of the ball and ST.
