Oregon State Beavs

You can drive or take a shuttle; Groome Transportation offers service from PDX Airport to Corvallis. I’m doing the math right now to figure out which I’m gonna do.

If you drive, recommend getting on 205 by the airport and looping around the southeast side to join 5. Downtown Portland can be a pretty bad traffic snarl.

Also what are the good parts of PDX to stay in? I tried Chinatown last time and I don’t think I could put into words how much I DO NOT recommend that

I know more about getting through Portland than staying there, but Gresham to the east isn’t bad and easy access to the airport, Hillsboro is alright to the west but takes a while to get out of. Vancouver Washington is just over the river and isn’t too bad. South of town like Tualatin or even Salem you’d probably be ok but not close to the airport.

Bump just to get a little more idea of how many might show up to a tailgate in Corvallis next week. I’m trying to get there around 2 Pacific Time, give or take traffic, to allow 5 hours before the game.

Doesn’t have to be an exact number yet, but a swing of 20 in one group is noticeable one way or the other…

Is there gonna be a tailgate in Corvallis?

I’m gonna be there, coming in from Portlandia.

If you fly into Eugene make sure you can get a rental…

I flew in one time when they had the OU graduation and NCAA track & field championship at the same time and literally every car was rented already.

Bandon Dunes…?

Will the Beavers be motivated by getting their butts kicked today ? ? ? ? ?

Were they motivated by getting spanked up and down the field the three prior weeks?

Maalik Murphy just isn’t any good…

It’s a long way to Corvallis and a good test of Coogs culture, preparation, and how they respond to a road environment.

But, after a month of the season, the Coogs are a better football team in every phase of the game than OSU. There’s no “motivation” that’s going to fix that. The better question is: “How do the Coogs respond to the situation knowing they’ve got a HUGE game vs a very hot and highly ranked Tech team at home next week?”

I think CWF will have the boys jacked to play and make a statement.

Go Coogs

Oregon St. QB Murphy was 5/18 for 68 yds. Oregon Head Coach Dan Lanning on containing Murphy: “Ultimately besides the busted coverage, we matched patterns really well and we were able to condense the pocket. I think that he didn’t have a ton of time back there.”

I’m driving from north of Seattle. Bringing a grill, just wondering who would want to swing by. No promises of being fancy but at least edible.

I don’t have a car, but I can find a way to bring some stuff.

I’ll be staying at an Air b&b near the OSU campus.

I think the way CWF get his players, jacked up! Is having his playersfocusing on each play, each practice and each game! He has his focused on excelling on the details of football! He’s not a big believer in trying to get players all fired up as he making sure they are extremely well prepared!

Me and my friend will probably make it to Corvallis around 1 and then hit a local brewery. Never been to Corvallis before so we don’t have any plans after that. Wherever you’re grilling we could bring some beer!
