And he only left Duke because they ran him off for Mensah.
UT liked him but Ewers and Manning was an embarrassment of riches so he had to leave.

I didn’t think he looked to hot.
They lost pretty bad in the opener to Cal. 34-15. He threw 1 int, no TDs.
Their schedule is pretty brutal too. After Fresno they get Tech then Oregon before playing us.
I’m not seeing this game as much as a challenge as I thought it would be pre-season

On paper we have a well timed first bye week but we were 0-2 after byes last year so not gonna count it as W yet

If MM is the Oregon St QB, that helps the Coogs’ cause. The fact is, MM is not impressive.
As long as we avoid injuries to key personnel and the OL continues to gel, the Coogs should do well. The D looks legit and it seems special teams could actually be special this year, which will help us.
What OSU has in it’s favor is the home field. It’s also the week before Tech. People will call it a “trap” game because they love their cliches… It’s not. There are no trap games when you’re building your program and establishing your culture.
All of that said, one game at a time, but I do have a feeling the Coogs will be undefeated heading into this game, meaning it will be a real test of the players, coaching staff, the culture, all of it. It may just be CWF first real test in handling success, and right before the game everyone has circled on the schedule. Looking forward to seeing how things develop between now and then.

I’ve seen him play well but more times, badly.
My friend from Cali knows him from high school and said he should never have been a 5* because “the kid just can’t play”. Said he should have played TE and he would get drafted. “He’s the kid who should get off the bus first”.

UT spent a lot of time trying to develop Murphy as a QB, but it wasn’t happening with UT’s QB roster. Another highly touted QB based more on size, than QB skill. Similar in that nature to UH’s Donovan Smith.

Watched some of the game tiday vs Fresno St. Oregon St has a porous defense and a good offense. Murphy is a good QB. We will need to score more than we are against Rice.

I’ll be driving down from Olympia, WA with another Coog flying in from Houston. We’ll be down for pregaming with other Coogs!
I haven’t bought our tickets yet and I saw online that 126 was the visitor section. But unless anyone here has better intel I think I’ll find some on the sideline for the view like others have done.
