Cody Campbell is essentially a one-man Private Equity Investor (PEI). This is what it would be like having a loan from a PEI firm. Except that PEIs wouldn’t be blabbing the quiet part out loud to social media.

Happy that UH rejected Red Bird Capital Partners’ and Weatherford Capital’s PEI offer.

If he was just the main money guy, this wouldn’t be as weak. He’s the Chairman of the Board of Regents who lives in Ft. Worth and apparently threatens to ruin small-town radio guys in his free time.

Can you imagine if Fertitta had responded to some tweet from Matt Jackson and threatened to blackball him from being able to talk to anyone in the UH athletics program?

I don’t mind the dumpster fire, but what did you expect Cody to do?
1st mistake - Cody shouldn’t have made the first post.

I guess really, the first mistake was carring about Tech.

He could have just responded in kind without threatening the radio station with media access. But he chose the nuclear option because he’s an insecure rich dude who can’t handle being called out.
