Did Tarleton St. just make a case to get an invite from C-USA if the Sun Belt replaces Texas St. with a school from that conference?

They’ve really made some big strides to position themselves for that, but I don’t think beating Army is going to be the trigger.

Good …the service academies attempt to win with smoke and mirrors anyway and in most years…it does not work.

Tarleton State did beat Portland State 42-0 last week… seem like a legit team.
They are a I-FCS natty contender.
That said.
I see all the service academies going into a football decline.
Why?
Because they are the only FBS teams that have the triple disadvantage of a) no revenue sharing, b) no NIL, AND c) minimal transfer portal.
They were already at a recruiting disadvantage due to the service requirement, and all that simply makes it worse.

That makes the AAC weaker since both are members of that conference for football only. I can see why Memphis is trying to buy their way out.

Our OOC results are literally the only way we can set the bar for how good our conference is compared to the other 3 Power Conferences.
We aren’t the FBS team losing to the FCS team.
That gives us room to talk.
Im talking about the Big 12 vs the ACC, B1G, SEC.
