I didn’t say bench Amen for Reed. That would be crazy. I like to see Reed run the point more, especially late in the game.
I admit I have an irrational dislike of Reed’s game. It mostly stems from every time I watch the Rockets he is terrible.

The Rockets seem to have a terrible record against bad teams.
They’ve lost twice to Sacramento, who has 9 total wins, twice to Dallas, and once to New Orleans. I think Golden State is the only team behind them in the standings that hasn’t beaten them.
This is a frustrating team to watch.
Agree, very very frustrating. There’s just no identity anymore. Ime needs to figure out the lineups. Double big is double no lol

Smfh… Stone better do something. As much as I like Amen, he’s a shooting guard who doesn’t shoot. That’s a big problem that won’t get fixed this year
Rockets are unwatchable. It’s bad basketball that’s not entertaining

Feel exactly the same way. I grew up a rabid Rockets fan and lost interest sometime around when Harden left.
I watched UH last night and flipped it to Rockets/Spurs at the end and it was like watching two different sports. Sengun gets the ball and backs down the paint without a plan and throws up a wild shot or turns it over. Awful to watch. Then there was array of missed shots without anyone on offense trying to rebound.

I couldn’t watch the Rockets any longer because of The Beard. The way he disappeared in the playoffs did it for me. Then, just couldn’t get excited again for the Rockets once Kelvin came to UH. I’m still on the bandwagon, because of Ime, though, even though just holding on with 3 fingers

They go through stretches where they are pretty fun to watch. But when it goes sideways, it all goes bad. When the other team leaves your guard wide open for a 3 ON PURPOSE and he still won’t shoot it…oof.
I disagree that Harden disappeared in the playoffs.
He disappeared in elimination games but did fairly well in the others. There’s a reason he’s known as Elimination Game James

Was that a nickname that you gave him yourself? I have never heard that. Anyways, maybe in game 7 but I remember him contributing greatly throughout the playoffs. He certainly wasn’t Tmac in the playoffs.

Harden was good enough to get them to game 7s but those teams weren’t ever good enough to get past the Warriors. Same for those early 2000s Rockets. They were good enough to win the championship, just not good enough to get past those Kobe led Lakers.

I feel like that’s more on the NBA than James… he played the same way regular & postseason… but they don’t call it the same way…
I used to love the NBA. Now it’s more about who’s the best at tricking the refs into calling a foul than it is about actual basketball. It’s a super frustrating product to watch now.
I know it will never happen, but I’d like to see the NBA institute a penalty box rule. If you get caught flopping, it’s a minute in the penalty box and the other team gets a 5 on 4 advantage for 1 minute. This whole $5k fine after the game is over is laughably pathetic as a deterrent.
