I felt this needed its own thread given we’ve had 4 coaches leave for greener pasters just in the last 20 years

His return to UCF is not a guarantee that he’ll duplicate his success. I know he said as much in the press conference.

Y’all remember Gary Anderson’s second stint at Utah State? Neither does anyone else. I don’t think UCF will be a conference competitor next year.

Pffffft !
First, I always laugh when people ask how we feel; I doubt there is universal agreement on how we feel. My opinion is that if UCF is happy and Frost is happy, then good for them. Otherwise, it’s nothing to me and really none of my business.

Maybe with the last name Frost maybe UCF was in the Xmas mood time of year.
Instead of the space race battle between us and them it can be the Coach Frxxx Bowl…
Frost is going to have them rolling. They are going to do well with him back. I hope we are too.
I’m feeling slightly amused…essentially, UCF is doing what some ppl on here have brought up, occasionally: bring back the coach who’s achieved the most here recently.
In Frost’s case, he left on very good terms compared to how TH left.
However, the last gig Frost took had everything set up for him to succeed or at least be competitive, and he failed.
On another note, I ask myself: is UCF making a typical UH move, where Admin prefers to bet on the “safer” option?
Only time will tell, but if there’s one thing I’ve envied UCF for, its that they typically do relatively well as a team, regardless of who is HC (Frost > Heupel > Malzahn, etc.)
We almost did it with Pardee.

True. Frost coached UCF in the Peach Bowl. Most coaches leave almost immediately after accepting another job. I always thought that was classy of him to stay all the way until the end. You don’t see that very often.
