OT: McGuire pleads with TT fans to stop throwing tortillas

Throwing crap like monkeys is in their nature. It would be funny if they end up losing a game because of it.

Watching that game made me realize how big, fast and talented the TY defensive front seven really it. Those guys are beasts.

It is very conceivable they can win the CFB playoffs.

I don’t care how many they throw at their stadium, but they should not be allowed to throw them on the road games.

Here’s an idea, grow up and quit throwing crap on the field.

I read that, allegedly, a pocket knife was thrown onto the field.

The article I read said that is what the KU coach was upset about, (and I don’t blame him). It wasn’t the tortillas.

Woah. Someone threw a pocket knife??? How did that thing get threw security?

The tradition may be on its last leg. That or some adjustments are needed. That’s a serious safety risk.

"There has been some division within Texas Tech following the introduction of the new rules. The college’s athletic director, Kirby Horcutt, was the sole dissenting voice in the vote, "

So their AD wanted their fans to be allowed to throw things on the field. That really makes their school look mature.

Hell my dad was able to accidentally bring in his pocket knife at the Tech game. This is the second time he has gotten through security at a UH football game with his knife in his pocket.

I read that they believe their team TT is for Tor Tiller.

Back in my day we were told TT was a euphemism for piss.

A friend of mine told me it was short for “Lubbock State” and he graduated there so I gotta believe that.

Big 12 fans need to be rooting for our best team to bring home the National Championship.

That’s how we rise to the P2 level…we produce teams that play the best big boy football

I agree with Lance. They tolerate them throwing other stuff, eventually it’s going to escalate.

That crap should be shut down.

We had one barely miss our granddaughter at the game and land on another young boy in front of us. My wife and I were not happy. I got up and asked who through it. It came from way above. All the Tech fans around us were nice and said it needs to stop

I talked to B12 compliance person and he said they are going to do something. Maybe it’s already in play

There were many thrown at TDECU and mostly from upper deck. Why didn’t we get the benefit of some penalties?
And if it is up to the home team to stop those idiots then why didn’t security do its, job?

I agree Cullen, We need to pull for all of our teams to win in post season, especially for the natty. A rising tide lifts all boats.

Yes, I agree, win without throwing crap onto the field, home or away games’

I saw Eddie pick one up off the field… should’ve been yelling at the ref for 15 yards it sounds like…
