The new stadium was named after Art Briles. It was funded by a Stephenville ISD Bond vote in 2022. It opened this season. I have no problem if the voters vote to build it, but I question the wisdom of naming the stadium after such a polarizing figure.
I doubt he’s polarizing in Stephenville.
