We have a heavyweight high school match-up in Division 6A playoffs:

November 22, 2024, 7:00 PM, The Rig, Pearland, TX
(11-0) North Shore, ranked #2 in Texas
(10-1) Ridge Point, ranked #13 in Texas

  • North Shore Head Coach Willie Gaston played at UH and North Shore is currently #6 nationally.
  • Austin Carlisle, QB for Ridge Point, is a UH commit.
  • Deion Deblanc, WR for North Shore, is a UH target.

Should be a great test for our future QB from Ridge Point! Anxious to see…Would love to get North Shore WR DeBlanc to commit and get back that North Shore connection we used to have.

Hire rice lb coach John Kay. Former north shore head coach. Solution to wanting north shore pipeline. 117-18 record in nine seasons at North Shore High School. He led the Mustangs to four 6A state championships (2015, 2018, 2019, and 2021)

North Shore is taking it to Ridge Point. 30-0 in the 2nd quarter.

Carlisle with a 59 yard run to set up a TD. RP missed the extra point. It was the kicker’s first miss of the season.

My son said North Shore was surely the dominate team and totally manhandled a Ridge Point defense that has six kids with D1 offers.
After trailing 30-0 in the first half Carlisle and company settled in and played well.
Main thing here is Carlisle will be a Coog next year.

You just make the mistakes Ridge Point made including 3 botched punts that failed to go 15 yards, fielding a punt at your own 2, etc.
North Shore is loaded with talent and was favored, so no way you can give them a 30-0 lead in the first half.
Good news for Coog fans is Carlisle had a really good game.
I was at the Coog game but my disappointed son gave me updates.

Wow! I had no idea all of that happened. I was getting updates from one of the percussion kids. They don’t really watch the game, just the score. :rofl::rofl:
