Raiders commiting dumb penalties is the biggest certain in sports.
They were very fortunate to win. They did not bring their A game, more like D-. Worst offense in the league moved the ball way too well. CJ was also very mediocre.

The Raiders are also just a weird team. They were a missed two-point conversion (in OT!) from beating the Jags, a blocked Field Goal from beating the Bears, and played the Broncos to within a score twice. One of their two wins was on the road against the Pats. But a bunch of mediocre and bad teams, like the Cowboys, Chiefs, and Browns, all put boots on their throats.

Anyone else think that Phillip Rivers looks like Roger Clemens?
i think rivers is still a better qb than the texans qb, cj will thru a better long ball but 15 yards or less; i would take river; cj too inaccurate. amdittingly this is the first rivers game i have seen this season and only saw to texans games, but cj would make some bad misses in those games.

I’m not exactly a CJ Stroud lover, but he did put up a better performance with a worse supporting offensive cast against this same 49ers team earlier in the year.

If Stroud ever has a competent offensive line he might be a solid top 10 QB, but he’s probably not going to be a top 5 guy. It would also help if he had consistency in offensive philosophy for a few years running.
