Nice write-up in the Houston Chronicle. Given his accomplishments, he belongs in the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame.

I liked that he wore suspenders with his coaching outfit 
I would like to know at the end of the day the true story of Katy HS evolution meaning at one point when did Johnston see where the power was going to turn in their favor? I saw them compete against my hs as a kid and they weren’t there just yet - 10 years later they were consistent powers
I do know fort bend’s overgrowth helped them out once they spreaded the talent out
Also would like folks who grew in galena park describe how the area used to be as it was considered an elite burb at one time
Coach Joseph probably close to retirement himself has been there the entire time as well.
I was on the 1990 team and grew up following Katy before and after my time there. I will just say, in short, as a coach myself, to have seen a program run the right way with discipline and organization has greatly impacted my career.
