Sac State and especially UC-Davis have beaten FBS teams and have the means to do it. Especially UC-Davis.
Plus California has plenty of high school football talent.
The pac should have all 3 of the below in their conf. They fit and are easy travel for the others.
UNLV
New Mexico
New Mexico st
If you take NMSU you gotta take UTEP. They’re less than an hour apart.
Which means you would get four of the worst football teams of all time. UNM is the 14th worst FBS program of all time, btw.

From what I’ve read, the MWC is going to make all leaving pay their fees, won’t go into negotiations like The American did with UConn, UH, UCF, and UC. Depending on what they would get (I haven’t done the research), the MWC might be able pay their FCS to FBS fees.
