He claims his JUCO years in 2019, team shutting down in 2020 due to the pandemic and a JUCO season in 2021 should give him at least 2 years of eligibility
That’s kind of hilarious. According to wikipedia, he’s been in college football at some level for 7 years already:
2 years at City College of San Francisco
2 years at Diablo Valley
2 years at App State
1 year at Tennessee
At City College of San Francisco he never played due to red shirting and covid, but even if you don’t count that he still played 5 years after that.
Tough to blame him, as ridiculous as it sounds. Aguilar’s NFL prospects are dim and he is likely looking at going from 7 figures at Tennessee to $50k ish at some entry level job somewhere. A lawsuit is worth a shot.
this is why we are rapidly approaching the point where anybody can play college football for any length of time. This will include a player just staying at college and ‘making a career out of it’ or an ex NFL player that could come back to college for a last paycheck in their twilight years. If the market on these guys is 6 or even 7 figures they aren’t going to go down without a fight and get get a $50K normal job as you say. It will happen by the end of this decade in my estimation
If that happens and everybody can just come and go as they please, I may get back into football shape and grab a paycheck. Why the hell not at that point? I won’t even be 40 by the end of the decade.
It doesn’t even have to be UH, I’d go down to a D2 or D3 school and enroll as a grad student
Please, what rubbish…He played 5 years! Now get out there and make a living and quit whining. At present no NCAA P4 rule saying crybabies can get a 6th year…
