Most of the terms of these contracts are boilerplate agreed on as part of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Most of the negotiation is about salary, money up front, length of term, etc. Most players don’t need a lawyer or agent for that.
Most have an agent, but that agent provides a lot more services than negotiating the contract. They deal with financial issues, investments, personal legal issues, etc. Some also handle, or their agencies handle, marketing deals for the player.
It’s entirely possible that a player chooses to negotiate his own deal with the club, and then hire someone to handle these collateral issues that people with money (or who want more money) have to deal with.
That doesn’t say that they helped him. He has some video blog called “Divine Tree”. That doesn’t mean that they negotiated the contract for him. They could have just been there. Anyways, I’m through arguing who wrote Tunsil’s contract.
All of that is unimportant. What is important is that he is no longer with the Texans and Casserio is in need of offensive linemen from tackle to tackle.
