The attacker has bonded out of jail, still no motive made public.

UAB boards are saying that apparently there was a fight on the sidelines at practice that spilled over to the next day. There are rumors of a girl and bullying going on that are unconfirmed as of now.

I agree with innocent until proven guilty, but there have been no reports that he was defending himself or others.
