OT: UC-Berkeley is back and they're shredding #8 Miami

The Cal qb is from Miami and took it very personally that The U didnt offer him despite being 12 mins away from campus and has already lit the Hurricanes up with
over 300 passing yards.

This why you gotta go after local kids, something neither Dana understood

Wow! That was a great comeback by Miami.

That incompetent fool Dana could have had either Cam Ward or Fernando Mendoza

I said this once about Dana I’ll say it again was a bubble coach great potential great football mind offensively, just didn’t want to put in the hardwork, unless it was going out partying, which he gave 100% to doing.

This is not accurate. Maddox Kopp, St. Thomas HS, a high 3 :star:, was signd by Dana 2021

The only way Ward was coming to UH is if UH would have benched Clayton Tune to guarantee a starting spot to Ward.

Anyone else getting a kick out of the fact that SMU and Cal, the so called unworthy ACC adds, are kicking butt, while FSU, who believed that they were too good for the ACC, is now 1-5?

Karma is a b*****h.

:joy::rofl:

Smooo is for real. May end up winning the Conference much as I hate to admit and dislike them, got to give the devil it’s due. That oil money makes a difference they can buy all the top talent they want, now.The privy’s with super rich alum, maybe at an advantage in doing this. Look at Vandy. A paradigm shift is happening in CFB. Right before our eyes. 1927 was spot on in his assessments about this happening.

Yep!

Been saying this. Smart money can build a team. Dumb money (ie TAMU and Auburn) won’t.

Good coaching and scheme also make a difference, but certainly SMU QB has the talent to make a deep run this year. Their quarterback is pretty damn talented.

Greg Ward comeback vs Pitt > Cam Ward comeback vs Cal

Funny enough. His only offers were Missouri State, Lamar, A&M-Commerce and Sam Houston despite taking South Oak Cliff to the state championship. He was headed to Missouri State until SMU had an opening at the last minute and offered.

The coach that signed him was a SOC alum and was at TSU the year before ironically

Cam for the Heisman.
Proof that a high school wing T quarterback and virtually unknown to college recruiters can turn out pretty good.
Happy for his dad, a proud Coog once recruited by Bill Yeoman.
