Great job UH!
#46 UT-Austin ranked between Colgate and W&L.
#115 UH ranked two spots below OU and ahead of Missou, Auburn, Rhodes, Pepperdine, UTD and others.
#145 Colby and #147 Tulane seem like outliers but maybe don’t give good ROI.
No doubt. Their tuition…
“Notably, UH’s graduation rates for at-risk students – students who receive the Pell Grant or who are the first in their family to attend college— is on par with the overall graduation rate for all students.” - from Article
That has been the #1 goal of our President since she came aboard. Job well done, now how high can we go? I do not think she is done, there are other rankings and AAU.
Top 50 public by USNEWS is next.
Then AAU.
Targeting US snooze does makes sense because of its weighting of reputation… something that will help with AAU.
Derek will always be a proud UH graduate and we are beyond grateful for the education he received on the path to his degree.
I must be reading it wrong? Because I see UT at #46.
The school rankings shown are for 2024.
They are saying we are at 46 for 2025. No such revised list is shown
ut #46 overall (public and private) and UH #46 when looking at publics only.
Good find.
UT-Austin is #46 overall and #15 among publics.
A&M is # 70 overall and #23 among public.
UH is #115 overall and #46 among publics.
I think we are going to jump ATM by 2033.
According to the WSJ, UH ranks #212 as far as graduates receiving high salaries versus the cost of attending. Behind even UH downtown.
Lack of a good network as well as the increasing cost to attend hurts UH.
Unfortunately one of my sons attends a school with even worse ROÍ while another attends amongst the tops so I’ll rely on the average to take care of me in old age.

Didn’t WSJ have Babson ranked #2 overall and UC Merced ahead of UCLA?
If you are only looking at salary then Babson makes sense because it’s a solid business school without majors like education, social work, art, etc… to drag down the ranking.
It’s why I think this ranking is particularly stupid.
Why is this stupid? Even students in degrees that won’t lead to a lot of money want a return on their investment so knowing what’s a good return helps potential students decide. And if UH prices itself out of the competitive market then it’ll suffer when the higher education crash eventually comes.
Wow even UHCL sneaks in at 500
Memphis is 428. Jesus Christ.
It’s hard to believe that people who choose fields like social work are terribly concerned about income. They have to know that pay in that field (and similar fields) is never going to mean high salaries.
