Aren’t they going to be on a different network than our games?
BINGO!
Hell just a couple of years ago AEW ran some shows on campus here.
Actually, I’m not sure… I thought they would be on before the Big 12 games but I just saw WWE will be on USA and not Fox… seems they’ve just aligned those 4 games to be in the same city as a Big 12 game those days…
I don’t really get that partnership if they don’t broadcast back to back on the same channel…
Isn’t that worse? People that would normally attend a game in person may choose to attend WWE instead. I guess I’m not understanding how we benefit from this. They’re not even on the same channel, so what’s the point.
Well, as long as the benefit outweighs any cost then it makes a mistake.
According to the press release, the game is the day after the Smackdown event - so I think the idea is to try and get someone who would go to either Smackdown or the football game, to go to both. Especially if like the first one is in Ireland - you make a weekend or longer trip out of it. I wonder if they will offer some sort of travel package or ticket packages in those places to encourage someone to go to both.
Hmmmm…a cage match between cheer squads? I’d watch that.
Winning post
Oh wait, this is the winning post.
