Has UH announced a watch party at any bars for OU game?
My tailgate group has one scheduled at Wakefield Crowbar.
I may finally get around to going to The Ritz.
From UHAA Fort Bend
Date: 09/07/2024
Time: 6:45 PM
Location: Gridiron Bar and Grill, Sugar Land
Come join us for an evening of great food, drinks, and football as we cheer on our Coogs! It’s the perfect way to enjoy the game with fellow Coogs in a fun and lively atmosphere.
Perhaps the almighty is smiling upon us by not allowing us to see this contest (hopefully we can make it a “contest”).
Crowbar does a great job of hosting, plus I can walk there AND stumble home safely.
Any recommendations for a hospital I can check into for IV narcotics to ease the pain of watching UH-OU? Bonus points if I don’t remember any of the game afterwards.
Place is still kicking, huh… my wife worked there for a little while when they first opened.
I used to love Petrol Station down the street.
Randy sold the Crowbar a few years ago. He did well. A really fun place. However, his priority was always volleyball. The new owner, can’t remember his name offhand, has really changed it into an all around bar, complete with a very nice sports watching area. Also has made it much more kid/family friendly.
Petrol Station closed around covid time, lots of reasons. Been vacant ever since, however rumors of it reopening as the grease monkey persist. However, still lots of very good options on Wakefield.
Fun area to live in,
I might do that too. It’s a lot closer to my house.
UH Young Alumni - Christian’s Tailgate (The Heights Location)
Seems like a decent option. Crowd is good?
Ritz was dead last time I went and crowbar was a little too family/older.
After the 1st quarter:
I’ve noticed that the crowd changes, depending on the event, sport & location.
But I’ve liked their events & tailgates I’ve gone to. If anything, it’s a great way to watch the game with other Coog alums or friends of Coogs whilst getting free food & free (or discounted) drinks
If you watch it at home the only people that will judge you for crying are your wife and kids.
In public, different story.
